Category B Driver Coach and Assessor Training
This course teaches delegates to become Internal Driving Coaches and Assessors by providing delegates with the skills needed to identify poor driving habits by utilising driver behaviour techniques, assess other drivers’ abilities and to undertake coaching duties to improve driving standards.
Upon completion of the course, delegates will be competent in the following areas:

Fault rectification
All key Coaching and Assessment documents utilised during the course will be made available to the delegates. This includes assessor notes, driver assessor forms and a driver assessment scoring matrix guide.
Who should attend?
Any employee that has been identified as a safe and efficient driver and capable of conducting driving assessments and can be responsible for recording and improving driving standards across a team of car or van drivers.

Course Requirements
Clients will be required to provide a compliant road legal vehicle appropriate for the course. A training room or suitable location will be required for the classroom element of the training. Access to vehicle safety documentation (defect documents, walk round check documents) is recommended.
Delegates must make available to the Instructor each day a valid driving licence with the relevant licence category.
Continued CPD
The qualification achieved from successfully passing this course will be valid for a period of 3 years providing the delegate undertakes annual PRIM Continued Professional Development (CPD) training. The CPD courses are presented remotely and are 3.5 hours in duration. Topics covered in this CPD course includes eco-driving, fuels of the future, defensive driving, speed awareness, coaching refresher.
